GoPofandt Welcome
Welcome to George and Juliette Pofandt's travel website! This unique travel site documents the world travels of us: George and Juliette Pofandt and our twins, Isabelle and Tristan. We love to travel and wanted to share our amazing experiences (and hopefully a few handy tips!) with others.
We love traveling with our kids - it's nothing like pre-kid travel, but it's equally fantastic! We found the tips of others helpful, so decided to compile a few of our own to help those setting out on world adventures with kids in tow!
On our site you will find blogs about our travels and some useful information you can use when you're planning your own trips... planning is half the fun!
Below are our most recently published blogs. Or use the navigation to read older articles or blogs about past trips.
Happy planning and safe travels!
A Day With Chao Chao's Family and Then a Visa Run to Thailand!

Yangshuo River Cruising and Chocolate Pancakes.
October 1st marked the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (or 'China's birthday' to the pits) and Kunmingers went a bit batty! We've seen parades with nonsensical percussion, we've heard karaoke at decibel levels that could be considered a public nuisance, and perhap most tragic of all - our babysitter requested a Saturday off, our driver couldn't take us to kindy, and our housekeeper went on holiday!! <sigh> help these days... ![]()
Weird and Wonderful Kunming
We knew things might be a tad different to home when our plane was delayed upon arrival so that a team could board the plane to take our temperatures! Apparently just a general scan, but Belle managed to announce her arrival with a beautiful coughing fit shortly before we presented our health check forms to the men with the heat sensors! We were in the minority without face masks... you can buy trendy patterned ones here though!
3 Hops to China
It's true. Facebook really is blocked by the Chinese government! So here is our first ever official 'blog', saving me from spamming you all on email with my generally lengthy diatribes!
We set off from Australia with our twins bound for Kunming China with stops in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and Thailand taking in Bangkok and Chaam.
